Established in 2019, the Utah Stingers join the National Volleyball Association (NVA) in 2020 for the NVA’s 3rd season. The majority of the squad is made up of Brigham Young University (BYU) alumni, a school that has not only made its presence known in the NCAA with 3 National Championships but around the world by producing some of the greatest talent that have gone on to win multiple Olympic and World titles. With such a rich history for producing world class talent, it’s about time that Utah put together a team to represent the volleyball culture in this region. Garnished with a hand full of former D1 All-Americans, multiple players with professional international experience, and even one Olympian who is a 2x World Champion, the Utah Stingers intend to make some huge noise among the competition this season.
